*ETIQUETTES OF ‘EĪD*

*1⃣ Take Bath*

It was reported that Sa’eed ibn Jubayr  رضي الله عنه said: 

“Three things are sunnah on Eid:

 to walk (to the prayer-place), 

to take a bath

and to eat before coming out.” 

 

This is what Sa’eed ibn Jubayr رضي الله عنه  said, and he may have learned this from some of the Sahaabah.

*2⃣ wearing new clothes*

*3️⃣ Perfuming your self.. (Male)*

Putting on the best perfumes

*4⃣ Takbeer*

Abd al-Rahmaan al-Sulami said, “They emphasized it more on the day of al-Fitr than the day of al-Adha.”. Wakee’ said, this refers to the takbeer.

*5⃣ Going to the salaah by one route and returning by another.*

It was narrated that Jaabir ibn ‘Abd-Allaah (رضي الله عنه ) said: On the day of Eid, the Prophet (ﷺ) used to vary his route. Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 986. 

6⃣  People met one another on the day of Eid, they would say,

*‘Taqabbal Allahu minnaa wa minka.’” (Ibn Hajar)*

*7️⃣Women attending the Eid Prayers:*

 According to the Sunnah of the Prophet (ﷺ), everyone is urged to attend Eid Prayer. 

narrated that Umm ‘Atiyyah (رضي الله عنها ) said: The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) commanded us to bring out on al-Fitr and al-Adha the girls who had reached puberty, menstruating women and women in seclusion. The menstruating women were to keep away from the prayer but to witness goodness and the du’aa’ of the Muslims. I said: O Messenger of Allah, one of us may not have a jilbaab. He said: “Let her sister lend her a jilbaab to wear.” Al-Bukhaari (324) and Muslim (890)

Cover your self and do not expose your self. Don't perfume. 

*8️⃣ NOT Eating before going out to pray on Eid al-Adha*

*9️⃣ Give sacrifice and eat from it.*

*🔟 Go to salaah and pray attentively. Listen to khutbah.*
